Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital established in 1987 with the blessings of Paramhansa Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and is being run under the able guidance of Rev Sidh Bhauji, is one of the renowned charitable hospitals in Central India, providing its excellent services in the field of Eye Care.  The hospital is equipped with latest equipments having 300 inpatients beds including 250 beds.

The existence of our hospital was due to gas tragedy in 1984, the unfortunate methyl isocyanate gas leakage created havoc in Bhopal, leaving thousands suffering in agony and pain along with severe loss of vision and blindness. The aftermath of mishap was tragic with the poor bearing the main brunt of this catastrophe. It was then that Paramhans Santji blessed the society in the form of free eye camps which later on paved way for setting up ‘Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital’ in 1987, for serving those who cannot afford high cost of treatment.The hospital is oganising Free Eye Camps with the active support of Philanthropists on weekly basis throughout the year in far flung rural areas. All the cataract patients (irrespective of number) are brought to the base hospital for surgery by hospital vehicles. We provide them pre and post operative services from Monday to Saturday to achieve the best results after surgery. All the facilities including surgery, lodging and boarding, Specs, medicines for 2 months, to and fro transport and two post – operative follow ups at camp place are provided free of cost. We have examined more than 10 lac patients and surgeries of more than 1.80 lac patients have been successfully performed. Apart from this we have done Keratoplasty (Cornea Transplant) of 854 poor and needy patients free of cost and provided vision to the visually impaired patients. 

We have also added the services of super-specialty wings in our hospital in which we provide the treatment for Cornea, Glaucoma, Retina, Squint, Oculoplasty, Low Vision Ad and Pediatric (Eye) at very reasonable cost so that patients from any income group can afford the same. 

With all these efforts and achievements, “Sewa Sadan” has now become the synonym of Blindness Eradication.
